Bass Fishing Organization Descriptions

Inland Empire Bass Club – Established in 1967 is Washington State’s largest amateur club.  We are headquartered in Spokane Washington and hold 6 tournaments each year as well as general meetings on the 4th Tuesday of each month at Spokane Valley Marine located at 11704 E. Montgomery.  In club tournaments anglers fish for top cash awards, for fun and for overall season standings resulting in trophies at the year end Bass Club Banquet.  The Club also hosts one of the more popular events, The Pend Oreille Invitational in June of each year.  We are a “family, friendly, fishing organizations dedicated to providing a welcoming environment, knowledge and opportunities for members of all ages to experience bass fishing at levels from serious beginner to competitive expert.”  Membership dues are $35 per year for a family. Entry fees for tournaments are additional.  We also have a youth division enabling those between 11 and 18 to compete for advancement to the FLW Junior National Championships and the Junior Bassmaster Classic.  Our club supports both FLW and BASS state organizations.  Membership forms can be printed on line at www.inlandempirebassclub.com or are available at monthly meetings.

Washington State Bass Federation - FLW/TBF

This organization is affiliated with the national FLW and is the road to advanced, semi-pro and professional fishing.  The State Federation holds 3 one day qualifiers for anglers who wish to compete to make a 12 man state team. That state team advances the next year to a divisional competition.  If successful anglers can advance all the way to the $1 million FLW Cup.  The organization also hosts a youth state tournament for Juniors from affiliated clubs between the ages of 11-18.  Top state youth go on to fish the FLW Junior National Championships held in conjunction with the FLW Cup.  Dues total $55 covering state, national and general FLW membership.  This includes a subscription to FLW Outdoors Fishing Magazine.  The website for more information is www.wabass.org. Federation Nation of Washington State, Inc.- BASS

This organization is affiliated with BASS.  They hold 4 one day state qualifiers over 2 weekends.  Top 12 anglers go on to the following year divisional.  By winning the divisional anglers go forward to the Federation Nation National Championships.  The top finishers in each of 6 divisions at that event qualify for the $500,000 Bassmaster Classic, considered the grand-daddy of all bass tournaments.  The organization also has a youth division where juniors from 11-18 compete in age groups for the right to go on to a junior divisional.  From there, successful youth qualify to fish in the Junior Bassmaster World Championships held in conjunction with the Federation Nation National championships.  Membership fees total $55 covering state, national and general BASS subscriptions.
